Join The Village

Thank you for being interested in moving into Goodness Village! Goodness Village is a permanent supportive housing community, and processes and fills all units from our waitlist. 

To be eligible for the waitlist, you must meet the following requirements of our Program Selection Criteria: 

• Currently Homeless in Alameda County, preference to Tri-Valley population as defined by HUD

• Single adult occupancy only

• Able to independently care for basic needs including making meals

• Able to independently exit their home in the event of an emergency

• Able to independently adhere to medication prescriptions as ordered by their treatment team

• Not required by the DOJ to register as an Arsonist or Sex offender

• No patterned history of assaultive behavior or vandalism

• Engaged in Outpatient Case Management as recommended by case manager for this highly interactive community involved program

• Motivated to engage in volunteerism or employment, either on-site or off-site

• Proof of income or proof of submitted application to SSI/SSDI

• A willingness to engage in conversation with GV staff regarding barriers to pass housing retention and a motivation to retain this housing opportunity

• A willingness to follow program rules as outlined in the Program Participant Agreement

• An agreement to treat all others with Dignity and Respect

  *Waitlist priority will be given to Veterans with proof of DD-214
  **Applications are kept in order by date of receipt and are subject to approval on a case-by-case basis.
